Welcome to First 4 Group
Based in Lancashire, First 4 opened its doors in October 2003 with just one folder, one stitcher and one guillotine. We now have the capabilities to produce 10 million promotional items per day.
Over the years, we have experienced numerous expansions, equipment upgrades and installations and a significant company acquisition, all helping to keep up with the increasing demands within the sector, diversifying into new markets and future-proofing the business. Our team now operates from two sites within Blackburn and Preston, offering services for door drops, print finishing, direct mail and data processing.
In the summer of 2016, we made our first acquisition with a significant expansion into polywrapping through the purchase of Vitesse Mailing Preston, taking on the company’s 50 staff and its 2,800sqm factory, helping to soar group sales towards the £5m mark. During this time, we also purchased our existing 4,650sqm plant in Blackburn.
Vitesse Mailing Preston, renamed to First 4 Direct Mail in order to align it closer with our parent company, ran four polywrapping lines and we added a fifth CMC polywrapper into the mix to enable to us concentrate our Direct Mail activity solely at our Preston site.
We are now one of the largest and most technologically advanced finishing houses in the UK, offering multi-award winning solutions to both UK and European print markets, having established a reputation for delivering quality and exceptional levels of service at a competitive price. We have an extensive range of clients across a large range of sectors, from charities right through to retail.
